Child Specialist I, Clinton Community Learning Center (Lincoln, NE)

The Clinton Before and After School Program serves children 5 to 12 years of age. The Child Specialist I (CS I) will work as a Group Leader for upper-elementary students in the afternoons, managing a group of 12-15 third-fifth graders and implementing daily planned activities. Additionally, he/she will assist with curriculum development and weekly lesson plan preparation. The CS I shall have great communication and class room management skills along with a basic understanding of routines and expectations for school age children. Previous experience working with school age children, creating and facilitating lesson plans are required. The CS I shall have the ability to work with a diverse group of parents and children. The CS I must be 19 years of age or older, have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license and good driving record. College coursework in a related field is preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must. Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:00am-7:45am and 2:45pm-6:00pm and the possibility of additional hours as available. Scheduled hours change each semester per staff availability.
