Will work in 24hr emergency shelter providing a safe and developmentally appropriate care environment for youth between the ages of 10-18. The YSIII is a staff leadership position for the morning shift and will be responsible for providing leadership to ensure each shift runs smoothly. The YSIII will take on additional leadership tasks as necessary. This position will work independently in the program at times and the candidate needs to be self-motivated. This position provides transportation to and from school, appointments, activities and visits. The YSIII is responsible for daily documentation of behavior of youth in care, engaging youth in life skills or educational activiities, providing leadership during crisis intervention, providing structure for youth, assisting in school work and engaging youth in positive activities, along with other duties as assigned. The YSIII will be responsible for scheduling/transporting youth to necessary medical appointments, as well as managing youth's medications. Bachelor's degree in human services or closely related field is required. Leadership experience and at least two years experience working with youth and families is preferred. A valid driver's license with a good driving record is required. Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday 6:30a-2:30p.
