Will work in 24hr emergency shelter providing a safe and developmentally appropriate care environment for youth between the ages of 10-18. The YSII is responsible for maintaining safety of youth, most often between the ages of 11-18 on the overnight awake shift. The YSII is responsible for daily documentation of behavior of youth in care, provide structure for youth, crisis intervention, complete safety/room checks during the night, provide upkeep of the facility to support the day and evening staff, along with other duties as assigned. The YSII will work as part of a team to provide quality care and supervision for youth. This position may include transportation of youth home from work when needed. Bachelor's degree in human services or closely related field and at least 1 year of experience working with youth and families are preferred. A combination of education and relevant work experience may substitute for the degree. A valid driver's license with a good driving record is required. Schedule: Thursday 1-2:30p (staff mtg), Friday 2:30p-10:30p, Saturday 9p-6:30a and Sunday 10:30p-6:30a.
