Will work in 24hr emergency shelter for children ages 0-18 providing a safe and developmentally appropriate care environment. The structured program includes aftercare and follow-up. The YSII will be responsible for maintaining safety of youth, most often between the ages of 10-18. This position may include transportation to and from appointments, activities or visits. The YSII will also be responsible for daily documentation of behaviors of youth in care, providing structure for youth, assisting in school work, crisis intervention and engaging youth in positive activities, along with other duties as assigned. Associates or Bachelor's degree in human services or closely related field and at least 1 year of experience working with youth and families is preferred. A combination of education and relevant experience may substitute for the degree. A valid driver's license and good driving record are required. Schedule: Tuesday 2:30p-10:30p, Thursday 1p-10:30p and Friday 6:30a-2:30p.
