Will work in 24hr emergency shelter providing a safe and developmentally appropriate care environment for youth between the ages of 10-18. The YSII is responsible for maintaining safety of youth, most often between the ages of 11-18. The YSII is responsible for daily documentation of behavior of youth in care, provide structure for youth, crisis intervention, complete safety/room checks, provide upkeep of the facility, along with other duties as assigned. The YSII will work as part of a team to provide quality care and supervision for youth. This position may include transportation of youth. Bachelor's degree in human services or closely related field and at least 1 year of experience working with youth and families are preferred. A combination of education and relevant work experience may substitute for the degree. A valid driver's license with a good driving record is required. Schedule: (Overnight Awake) Thursday 1-2:30p (staff mtg), Saturday 10:30p-6:30a and Sunday 9p-6:30a.
