Power of the Purse

The hearts fill to overflowing as more than 350 women gather each fall to support CEDARS kids through CEDARS Power of the Purse.

Special volunteers spend months “bagging” unique purses for our exclusive and very festive event. One-of-a-kind handbags, some designed by international designers and others chosen with everyday use in mind, tempt those in attendance to bid at both silent and live auctions.

Victor Hugo’s observation—“as the purse is emptied, the heart is filled”—reminds us of the joy of caring for others. Open your purse to give, and you’ll discover far more satisfaction than you’ve ever known!
