Youth Specialist II (Overnight Awake), CEDARS Pioneers Center (Lincoln, NE)

Pioneers Center provides a safe and stable environment for youth to reside following a placement disruption or for youth experiencing homelessness or who have ran away. The program operates 24/7 for youth ages 12-18. Programming includes structured groups, recreation, school support including keeping the youth attending their home school when possible, and helping strengthen relationships between youth and their families. Pioneers Center is designed to be a short-term placement for youth with a goal average length of stay 3 weeks or less. The YS II is responsible for maintaining safety of youth, most often between the ages of 11-18 on the overnight awake shift. The YS II is responsible for daily documentation of behavior of youth in care, providing structure for youth, along with other duties as assigned. The YS II will work as part of a team to provide quality care and supervision for youth. This position may include transportation of youth home from work when needed. Associates or Bachelor's degree in human services or closely related field and at least one year experience working with youth and families are preferred. A combination of education and relevant experience in the field may be considered. A valid driver's license with a good driving record is required. Schedule: Overnight Awake - Sunday-Thursday 10:30p-6:30a.
