Office Assistant, CEDARS Home for Children Foundation (Lincoln, NE)

The CEDARS Home for Children Foundation exists to raise funds to support the programs of CEDARS Youth Services. The Foundation works with donors and corporate entities to solicit donations through annual giving, major giving, planned giving and special events. The Office Assistant will maintain administrative and donor files within the donor database ensuring accuracy of information. Count, prepare and enter daily donations, as well as record and send appropriate acknowledgments. Prepare, print and mail monthly anniversary donor letters as well as tribute cards. Edit, print and mail error, notify and visit letters. Perform general administrative duties (typing, data entry, generating and editing Excel and Word files, etc.). Maintain and operate all office equipment. Monitor and order supplies for the Foundation office and other relating administrative functions. Have the ability to greet the general public with a positive and professional image. Adhere to all policies and procedures of CEDARS Youth Services. Perform other related assignments as directed by the Donor Information Coordinator. The Office Assistant shall have an Associates or Bachelor's degree and at least two years of experience in an office support services role or related position. The Office Assistant needs to have computer experience, be flexible to meet the needs of the organization and possess the ability to organize work in order to meet deadlines. The Office Assistant must have the ability to work well with minimal supervision and possess good communication skills, be comfortable working with a high attention to detail, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and have familiarity with database entry. The ideal candidate would have experience with Raiser's Edge, but this is not required. The Office Assistant must have a genuine interest in and concern for all youth and families and the ability to work with other people in the agency. The Office Assistant must be sensitive to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the clients and families we serve. A valid Nebraska driver's license and a good driving record are required. Schedule: Monday through Friday (20-25 hours per week).
