Foster Care Recruiter and Trainer, CEDARS Foster Care Program (Bellevue, NE)

CEDARS Foster Care Recruiter and Trainer will creatively recruit and engage potential foster families to work with CEDARS Foster Care program. This position will be responsible for the implementation of a wide variety of marketing, promotional and networking that effectively promotes CEDARS Foster Care to the community and potential foster parents. The Foster Care Recruiter and Trainer will also play a major role in the retention of current CEDARS foster homes. The Foster Care Recruiter and Trainer will establish and maintain strong community relationships with schools, community organizations, faith-based organizations, service groups, current foster parents and other resources as deemed appropriate. The Foster Care Recruiter and Trainer will execute established marketing strategies to recruit foster families including, but not limited to advertising (determine value and effectiveness of such advertisements), presentations to the community, face to face meetings with groups or individuals expressing interest and engage businesses, churches, community groups, etc. in recruitment activities. Will function as the first point of contact for prospective foster families through training and licensing, establish positive relationships with prospective families and provide licensing requirements to prospective foster families. Bachelor's degree and a minimum of two years work related experience are required. A valid driver's license with a good driving record is necessary. Experience should include foster parent recruitment or other marketing activities. Strong emphasis will be placed on public presentation skills and relationship building. This position operates within a larger foster care support team, but has the major responsibility for recruitment activity. Schedule: flexible hours; typically Monday through Friday 8a-5p, however evening and weekend engagements will be required.
