Development Assistant, CEDARS Home for Children Foundation (Lincoln, NE)

If you are interested in learning fund raising and event planning in a dynamic and well-known non-profit organization, this is a great opportunity for you. At CEDARS, The Development Assistant is responsible for supporting the CEDARS Home for Children Foundation team with the organization and administration of all facets of the Annual Campaign including event planning, record keeping, gift processing and donor relations. The Development Assistant is integral to the overall operations of the Foundation and duties include customer service to constituents and CEDARS teammates, database mining and processing all gifts. The Development Assistant shall have an Associates or Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of experience in an administrative support role. Banking or accounting experience is helpful. Qualified candidates will have good organizational skills, strong detail-orientation and excellent oral and written communication skills. Candidates must be proficient with Microsoft Office products and work independently with little direct supervision. Experience with Raiser’s Edge donor software is preferred. The Development Assistant must embrace the mission of CEDARS to help children experiencing crisis and building strong families, have a genuine interest and concern for all youth and families. The ability to lift at least 25 pounds, carry items and climb stairs are required. A valid driver’s license with a good driving record is required. Schedule: Monday through Friday 8a-5p; occasional participation in evening and weekend events. This is a full-time position with excellent benefits.
