Assistant Program Director, CEDARS Foster Care Program (Lincoln/Bellevue, NE)

CEDARS Foster Care Program is designed to serve children birth to 18 years of age whose needs can be met in a structured, nurturing, specialized foster home environment. Foster families who are trained, supported and supervised by CEDARS professional staff provide the program services. The Assistant Program Director (APD) will provide leadership that supports teamwork within the Foster Care Program, across other programs at CEDARS and among partner agencies. The APD will ensure the quality of trauma-informed, strength-based services provided to youth in care while overseeing case management services for foster families and youth. Training and monitoring staff on policies and procedures will be required, along with ensuring that policies and procedures are followed. A large amount of time will be dedicated to overseeing the support of licensed and kinship foster parents which will include travel within the Southeast and Northern Service areas. The APD will also supervise a team of Family Resource Partners and ensure COA standards are being met and followed throughout the program. A Bachelor's degree in social work, human services or closely related field and a minimum of two years of work related experience are required. Supervisory experience, knowledge of family-centered services, licensing experience and case management skills are strongly desired. Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record. Schedule: 40hrs/week Monday through Friday 8a-5p; some evenings and weekends as well as required participation in on-call schedule.
