In kind donations are always welcome, and greatly appreciated. Your kind gifts provide many of the basic necessities to the children and youth in CEDARS care!

Hours of Operation: Monday - Friday, 8 am to 6 pm. The donation center is closed on weekends and the following holidays: New Years Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving (including the Friday after) and Christmas Day.

Drop off Location: 6601 Pioneers Boulevard, Lincoln Nebraska

Drop off Policy: Donations can be dropped off in the first garage west of the CEDARS building. The garage door opener and in kind donation receipts are conveniently located to the right of the garage door. We respectfully request that items not be left outside the garage when the in kind donation center is closed.

Below is a list of items that CEDARS currently needs, as well as, a list of items that we cannot accept due to the nature of the item and/or the cost of properly disposing of it. Items We Need

• Clothing
  near new, seasonal newborn to teen shirts, pants, shoes, jackets and hats
  
  
• Kitchenware
  pots, pans, dishes, glasses, kitchen utensils, silverware, toasters and blenders
  
  
• Linens
  sheets, blankets and towels
  
  
• Small apartment furniture
  twin beds, toddler beds, small chests of drawers, dinette sets, chairs, loveseats, coffee tables and end tables
  
  
• Electronics and games
  televisions that are 20" or smaller and digital ready; CD players; DVD players and DVDs up to PG-13 rating; Nintendo and Play Station gaming systems; and toys and games that are less than 10 years old, not missing any pieces, and are in great condition
  
  

Items We Cannot Accept

• All appliances
  freezers, refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, humidifiers, dehumidifiers and air conditioners
  
  
• Electronics
  computers, printers, fax machines, big screen and console televisions and stereos
  
  
• Large furniture
  king size beds, sofa sleepers, water beds, large entertainment systems, dinning room tables and office desks
  
  
• Exercise equipment
  weights and weight benches, stationary bicycles, treadmills, pool tables and ping-pong tables
  
  
• Lawn equipment
  lawn mowers, weed eaters, leaf blowers, snow blowers and edgers
  
  
• Scrap building materials
  tile, carpet, plumbing fixtures, light fixtures, paint, varnish and wood stain
  
  
• Hazardous materials and chemicals
  oil, fertilizer and cleaning products
  
  
• Drug and alcohol related items
  ash trays, and beer, shot and wine glasses
  
  
• All weaponry
  BB guns, gun racks, bow and arrows, paint ball guns and knives
  
  
• Any and all items that are worn, unsafe, soiled or broken.
